Robert Redford in Captain America 2?!
Well, if IRON MAN 3 can have Sir Ben Kingsley, why can't Captain America 2 have Robert Redford?
Robert Redford is currently in talks to join the cast of Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Deadline reports that actor/director/founder of the Sundance Film Festival, is in talks to play a senior leadership role in S.H.I.E.L.D. So does that mean the Horse Whisperer is Nick Fury's boss? We'll find out closer to the film's April 2014 release date.
The script was written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who wrote the scripts for Captain America: The First Avenger and the upcoming Thor: The Dark World. This movie will be directed by the Russo brothers, Joe and Anthony.
From my few minutes of research, this is the first "kid friendly" project he's been involved with since 2006's live action Charlotte's Web.
Does this mean Robert Redford will have his first action figure since Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid toys? He was Sundance, by the way. Check that movie out - it has a sweet ending.
Will he pop up in any of the other films or ABC's S.H.I.E.L.D. series?
Is he Agent Coulson's dad?!
Is he ready to help Steve Rogers sock old Adolf in the jaw? Wait.....nevermind.
