MORE STAR WARS!
We are getting new Star Wars movies and not just chapters VII, VIII, and IX. Yesterday, Disney's chairman and CEO, Bob Iger, confirmed that they are looking into developing standalone movies that will focus on specific characters in the Star Wars universe.
In addition to the new trilogy, they are currently developing two films. Lawrence Kasdan, the screenwriter of The Empire Strikes Back, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and co-writer of Return of the Jedi, will be working on one of them. Simon Kinberg, writer of Sherlock Holmes and Mr. and Mrs. Smith, will be working on the other. Kasdan and Kinberg will also be consulting on VII, VIII, and IX.

This won't be the first time there were spin-offs from Star Wars. In 1984 and 1985, Lucasfilm produced and released the made-for-tv movie Star Wars: Ewok Adventures – Caravan of Courage and its sequel, Ewoks: The Battle for Endor. Both of these films were set between Empire... and ...Jedi and starred Warwick Davis as Wicket (who we know as Leia's little buddy on Endor).
Will we see a YODA-centric film? Will we finally get to see just how badass Boba Fett is? What if we get something out of left field and get a Chewbacca film? Time will tell.
For now? EWOK IT OUT
